Ray and Alfreda celebrate their 50thRay and Alfreda, shown here on their 50th wedding anniversary, moved to Hilton Head Island in 1984 to pursue their dream of business ownership. 27 years later, they are known far and wide as the Chocolate Man and his wife, providing not only amazing chocolates and other confections, but a warm greeting and one of the best customer experiences on Hilton Head!
 
"Fancy Food", a national trade publication, selected Chocolate Canopy as one of the leading chocolate retail and manufacturing shops in the United States. The Chocolate Canopy was also nominated for the Hilton Head Chamber of Commerce "Small Business of the Year" award several years in a row.
